This week was a big week for the Premier League clubs in the UEFA Champions League tournament. All four clubs made it to the knockout stage of the Champions League. Chelsea and Manchester United won their group. Arsenal and Manchester City got second place in their groups. Manchester United and Chelsea had easier gross and were favored to easily make it to the knockout stages. Manchester City was expected to come out of its group, but not in first as Bayern Munich was in their group. Arsenal had the hardest group of anybody. Arsenal's group had Borussia Dortmund and Napoli in their group. Arsenal squeezed by on goal differential. These teams all have a chance to win the tournament. There chances mostly depends on who they draw in the first round. It could be Barcalona or a team in Zenit that only got six points and still made into the knockout stage. The Champions League is a fun and entertaining tournament in soccer. The draw is on December 16th. Circle that on your calendar if you care. See you later.

This week was a makeup week for the Barclays Premier League. Due to World Cup qualifying. Every team played Wednesday and it was a wild one. The best team was Liverpool with a major 5-1 on a 4 goal performance by Luis Suarez. One of his goals is up for Goal of The Year already. It was an amazing goal and I would highly recommend looking it up on YouTube or some type of video website. Also There was some games that were upsets. Swansea beating Newcastle 3-0. Also, Manchester United is still in a slump compared to last year. They lost 1-0 to Everton and doesn't have a easy test against Newcastle. The teams will play again this weekend which hard on the players bodies. Be ready for goals this weekend. Arsenal is at the top of the table again and a lot of teams that nobody thought would be competitive this year for a UEFA spot for next year. Teams such as Southampton and Newcastle are a couple of them. Thanks for reading this post and see you later.

Sorry about the wait. I have been very busy the past week or so. There have been some changes to the top four in the EPL table.
Arsenal has 25 pts
Chelsea has 20 pts
Liverpool has 20 pts
Tottenham has 20 pts
It is a surprise that both Manchester teams are not in the top four of the table.Southampton had dropped from the top four. The league is still wide open because everyone is in close quarters in the table. This week is also UEFA Champions League soccer. There were some surprises for me in the results that happened. Manchester United tied Real Sociedad 1-1. Manchester City won 5-2 over CSKA Moscow. Chelsea won 3-0 over Schalke 04. Then there is the Arsenal vs. Dortmund game. No English team has ever won in Dortmund. That changed this last Wednesday. Arsenal won 1-0 over Dortmund. It was a exciting game. Ramsey scored the lone goal for the game. This is big for England. This shows the critics that the EPL teams can go up against the best on their home turf. EPL team is going to win the UEFA Champions League crown. Yep, I just said that. Bold predictions for the win. Thanks for your time. See ya later.

Sorry about the long wait for my next post. I have had a very busy couple of weeks and haven't had time to work on the posts. Anyway, EPL has been in full swing and the current standings as of this week are:
1.Arsenal 16
2. Liverpool.16
3. Chelsea 14
4. Southampton 14.
How is Southampton in the top 4 in the league?! They must just played their socks off the past two weeks. Also the Champions League is in full swing. Manchester United tied Shaktier last week to stay a top the table. Manchester City lost to defending champions Bayern Munich to fall to second in the table. Both Chelsea and Arsenal won easliy to be atop their group tables. Both Champions League and EPL are in full swing this year. The EPL has a wack table with good teams in the bottom half and some of the bad teams from last year are in the top half. Eventually the table will reset to where it makes the EPL look better than it does right. Thank you for your patience comment, like, and share ideas. Thanks

This was a regular week except for the UEFA Champions League starting this week. The table looks like the one last week:
1. Liverpool 10
2. Arsenal 9
3. Tottenham 9
4. Man City 7
The bottom of the table has Sunderland in last. They were very close to being relegated last year. This week I'm going to focus on UEFA instead of a team. The four teams that are in the Champions League this year are Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, and Arsenal. Manchester United won 4-2 over Bayer Leverkusen. Manchester City won 3-0 over FC Viktoria Plzen. Chelsea lost to FC Basel 2-1. Finally, Arsenal won 2-1 over Marseille. This is a good sign for the EPL because this shows that the EPL teams can compete with Europe's best teams. You may think that all these teams are horrible. All the teams that beat or lost to the EPL teams are the best teams out of their weather it would be Bundusliga, Ligue 1, or from Switzerland and Czech Republic these teams are good. In two weeks the Champions League will have its second games of group play. Manchester United play Shakhtar Donetsk. Manchester City play Bayern Munich. Chelsea plays FC Steaua Bucureşti. Finally, Arsenal plays Napoli. These games are October first and second. Send me request for other teams that aren't in the EPL or send me comments. See you guys in a week.

Hello guys. There isn't that much to talk about this week. There wasn't any league last weekend and the transfer window is closed so no transfers. This week is week is dedicated to Aston Villa F.C. In 1874, Aston Villa was formed by four men from a cricket team in the area. Aston Villa won the F.A. Cup in their 3rd year as a team in the league. Aston Villa won its first league title in 1894 and won their 2nd F.A. Cup the following year. In 1910 Villa had already won six titles and the following year bought Villa Park as their new home stadium. Two years after buying Villa Park the Villas won their 5th F.A. Cup. AS time went on Aston Villa won many league cups as well as making it into the UEFA Cup. In 2011, Villa signed Darren Bent in a record setting deal for Aston Villa. Bent is now at Chelsea. As of present day. Aston Villa is in 13th in the table with 3 points. Their only win was at Chelsea winning 2-1. Aston Villa has the European Cup and not every club in England can say that they have won the European Cup. Not much to talk about this week, but comment suggestions so I can make this blog better or send me subjects to think about. See you later.

It was a crazy two weeks in the English Premier League. There were amazing goals and saves. Close finishes and surprising upsets. First this week is the top 6 in the table.
1. Liverpool 9pts
2. Chelsea 7pts
3. Man City 6pts
4. Arsenal 6pts5. Stoke City 6pts
6. Tottenham 6pts
A very surprising Liverpool at the top of the table this week. No defending champs in the top 6 either. Now to my favorite big tranfers and loans this week or so. Marouane Fellaini to Manchester United for 27,500,000 euros,(that's a lot of money)Mesut Özil to Arsenal for an undisclosed amount, Stephane Sessegnon to West Brom for and undisclosed amount, and Romelu Lukaku to Everton on loan. Now this week is dedicated to the team in 4th place; the Arsenal Gunners. Arsenal was created in 1886. They were created by a group of workers from Woolwich Arsenal Armament Factory. They called themselves the Dial Square because of the sundial of the entrance to their factory. When their team turned pro many southern clubs protested the formation of the club because of the sudden shock of team turning pro. After World War One Arsenal joineds the top league in England. The original kit was a dark red shirt, with long sleeves, a collar and three buttons down the front. The shirt was worn with white knee length shorts and heavy woollen socks with blue and white hoops. The goalkeeper wore the same attire apart from the shirt, which was a hand knitted cream woollen polo neck jumper. Their first game was vs. Newcastle United which endede in a 2-2 draw. During the Great War a 1,000 lb bomb fell near their stadium which pretty much destroyed their stadium. As time went on Arsenal went on to win leagues and FA cups, then came the 5 Minute Final. They were leading 2-0 with 5 minutes left vs. Manchester United. United scored two to tie the game. Then, in injury time Arsenal scored the game winner to win the FA Cup. In 1996 a man named Arsene Wenger. He changed the club into a power house in the league. Now in the present, they made it to the champions league last year and has had a great start to the season so far. One of the best players to play for Arsenal was Thierry Henry. Henry has the most goals in Arsenal history with 228 goals in his career for Arseanl. As the season goes on I expect Olivar Giroud to have a great season this year at striker. Thanks for viewing my blog and comment ideas or show it to your friends. You stay classy world.

This last weekend was the first week for the new EPL season. Many things happened on the first 3 days of the season. Last weekend there were 3 new teams that join the EPL this season. Crystal Palace, Hull City, and Cardiff City. Welcome to the league!! Also, this year the NBC network is showing a lot of the EPL games on both NBC and NBCSN. Finally, more soccer. Next week I'll start doing feature week for a team. I'll talk about transfers and news from that week. I will also do all transfers from any team if they are big transfers. Today I'm going to predict the league table at the end of the year and see how I do compared to the real table. Here is my table: 1. Manchester United 2. Chelsea 3. Manchester City 4. Arsenal 5. Everton 6. Tottenham 7. Liverpool 8. Newcastle 9. Norwich City 10. Fulham 11. Aston Villa 12. Stoke City 13. Southampton 14. Crystal Palace
15. West Brom 16. Swansea City 17.Sunderland 18. Hull City 19. West Ham 20. Cardiff City. That is my prediction for this up and coming season. If you have your own table email me it at ethanmanu@yahoo.com. Send me Your favorite team and I'll try to get as much about that team on my blog. Also, I'll cover UEFA Champions League and FA Cup. For people that don't what the champions league is; it is a Tournament for the top teams in all the top class leagues in Europe. The FA Cup is a tournament for all the teams in England. Last year the winner was Wigan. Wigan was the first team to ever win the FA Cup and be relegated from the EPL in the same season. Last years UEFA Champions League winner was Bayern Munich out of Germany. There have been many changes to the coaches this year in the EPL. The changes are: David Moyes-Manchester United, Manuel Pelligrini-Manchester City, and Jose Mourinho-Chelsea. Those are the bigger changes. Also, this year the EPL is using Goal Line Technology. This is cameras on the goal line that if referee has question about if it went in or not they can use to get the call right every time. They are the only league that actually uses this technology. FIFA,UEFA, and CONCACAF don't even have this technology in use yet. This Goal Line Technology is vital in todays game of soccer. The video below shows one of the worse disallowed goals ever. The referees completely missed the call. This video proves why all leagues and FIFA tournaments need to have Goal Line Technology. Thank you for reading this blog. I really appreciate suggestions and comments for my blog. See you later!!
